They provide one-to-one support, practical guidance, and emotional support to families and carers, helping them manage the complex challenges of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and other types of dementia dementiauk.org+1. Their support is designed to improve quality of life for both the person living with dementia and their carers, offering reassurance, coping strategies, and advice on planning for the future
Accessing Admiral nurses
- Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses. Due to limited funding, only 18 currently cover the whole of the UK.

- In partnership with Nationwide Building Society, Admiral Nurses offer free dementia clinics at local branches. You do not need to be a Nationwide member. To book an appointment, visit dementiauk.org/nationwide. Appointments must be made one month in advance. If you are unable to book online send a text message with the word APPOINTMENT to 07478724000.
